Ice Breaker:

Know thy learner - 2 Truth's and a Lie - Good session to start the year. Choosing statements to share that are not obviously you! Discussing the lie/truths - too much for the start of the year?

Expert Puzzle:

Assessment in Latin = 'Sit Beside' .... Assessment is 'with' students... NOT TO!

In groups of 4 (1,2,3,4) each person will have a 'breakout sessions' with the other corresponding numbers; take notes, synthesise and evaluate a reading. Return to the original group of 4 to share and make connections.
